Who?

Best Friends Animal Behavior Consulting is a service for pets and their people. Many pets have behavioral problems at some time in their lives and most of these problems can be treated successfully. Director and Animal Behaviorist Carol Propotnik-Newby received her Master of Science degree from Liverpool University in England and has worked with numerous individuals and humane organizations to help solve animal behavioral problems. Best Friends is committed to solving behavioral problems and keeping pets and their people together for life.

What?

Best Friends provides help for people who care about solving their pet's problems. Successful treatment programs have been designed for a wide variety of problems including destructive behavior, aggression, house soiling, excessive barking, anxiety, loneliness, fear, phobias and more. After the consultation you are not left to fend for yourself!  Relevant support materials are provided at no additional charge so you know exactly how to continue working on your best friend’s problem.

Where?

The behavioral consultation normally takes place in your home, although office visits and telephone consultations can also be arranged.

Why?

Our pets are our best friends, they give us so much, and ask little in return. Yet sometimes relationships with best friends can become strained. BEST FRIENDS Animal Behavior Consulting is in the business of keeping pets and their people together, for life. We believe that most behavioral problems can be solved when people are given the help that they need to understand and deal with their pet's problems. Seventy percent of all animals that end up in animal shelters are surrendered because of behavioral problems. Most of these animals do not get a second chance. Yet, the majority of behavioral problems can be solved and the relationship between pets and their people improved with the help of BEST FRIENDS. We want to make sure that you and your pet stay best friends, for life!

When?

To arrange an appointment, call BEST FRIENDS at (612) 869-6451. Appointments can be scheduled Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 7p.m.; special arrangements can also be made to fit your schedule. Before the session, we ask that your pet is examined by its regular veterinarian to ensure that there are no underlying medical problems. If you have already discussed the problem with your vet, we simply ask that you have your pet's medical available at the time of your consultation.
